Burns Night Tasting Event

Every year on the 25th of January, Scots come together to celebrate the birthday of their national poet - Rabbie (Robert) Burns. A hearty meal of haggis, neeps and tatties is prepared on the evening of the celebration and it's also an excuse to enjoy a good whisky.

Cask Trade were thrilled to host almost 200 guests at a spectacular Burns Night tasting at Tower Bridge. Panoramic views of London were paired with a range of fantastic whiskies from Scotland and beyond.

Raising a whisky to Rabbie Burns

Our experts hand selected some brilliant whiskies and stocked the bar with no shortage of bottles for guests to try. The highlight drams of the night were:

• The Sipping Shed - Linkwood, 11 Year Old, Bourbon Cask
• Pintail - Glenlossie, 14 Year Old, Wine Cask
• Stiùbhart - Glen Elgin, 22 Year Old, Sherry Cask
• Regent Street Cask Bottlers - Ben Nevis, 8 Year Old, Octave 
• Speyside - Selection of SPEY Whisky
• Cotswolds - Selection of Cotswolds Whisky

There were over 70 bottles of whisky on the bar, with a broad selection of single malts from across the five regions for Scotch whisky lovers: Speyside, Highlands, Lowlands, Islay and Campbeltown. Beyond Scotland: Wales, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Israel, India, and Taiwan were represented.

The event also introduced our bespoke bottling service - Regent Street Cask Bottlers. We believe your journey after purchasing a cask is just as important as buying it. On the night, guests tasted a fantastic Ben Nevis 8 year old single malt from an Octave cask, and learned about the bottling support we can provide.
